Teaching English in the poorest countries in the world is a challenge - but it gives you the opportunity to make a huge impact whilst gaining valuable training or management experience.
By choosing to volunteer abroad as an ELT Teacher, you'll live as part of the local community and work with a team of education volunteers strengthening education systems at all levels.
Skills needed to volunteer as an ELT Teacher
You'll need a degree and teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and 3 years' teaching experience before you apply (occasionally we maybe able to consider with 2 years' experience).

ELT Teacher - China As an English Teacher Trainer at Qinzhou University, you’ll develop the English Language skills of teaching staff and pupils within the faculty of education through participatory workshops.
