In 2000 the world pledged itself to reach a number of Millennium Goals by 2015. One of these was that 'Education for All' would become a reality. Many VSO programmes have been asked by our overseas partners to support them as they increase their Primary provision. As a consequence we are currently receiving fewer requests for secondary Maths / Science specialists. We are expecting a few placements in Ghana, Namibia, Rwanda and Papua New Guinea in the New Year.
If you are keen to go overseas in the near future please enquire (register) before you fill in the more lengthy application form and we can judge where your skills are most likely to be useful . Any experience of mentoring, management, inclusion or specific special needs experience may enable us to find alternative ways of matching your skills to current placement requests.
Heard about our new pension offer? Thanks to a new Government initiative you can now get your public sector pension reimbursed for the duration of your overseas placement - there really has never been a better time to apply. Find out more
