Sharing skills. Changing lives.
VSO is an international development charity that works through volunteers. Our vision is a world without poverty where people work together to fulfil their potential.
There are many ways to change the world.
Volunteering your skills overseas is one of them. By sharing your passion for teaching and learning, your ability to support and guide and your commitment to the profession with local colleagues, you can start something great and make a noticeable difference to the lives of some of the world’s poorest communities.
Now is the best time to volunteer
The Government has announced a fund to cover the pensions of public servants who volunteer overseas with VSO between April 2008 and March 2011. Find out more about getting your public sector pension paid.
