Support the National English Language Programme (ELIP)
You'll help to set up and manage English Training Centres, design and deliver pre- and in- service teacher training. You'll need at least 3 years' teaching experience and have an interest in staff development and management.
5 Facts about Ethiopia- Ethiopia is the oldest nation in Africa. And legend has it that Emperor Menelik I, the son of the Queen of Sheba established one of the world's longest known dynasties here.
- Ethiopia has its own unique calendar. The year is currently 1999 and the new Millennium (Enkutatash) will be celebrated on 11th September this year.
- Only 24% of Ethiopia’s 66.6 million people have access to safe drinking water.
- Ethiopia's staple food is injera, a large circular pancake with cooked stews placed on top. It's eaten communally by hand – and the right hand only is used for eating.
- Ethiopia's legendary Abebe Bikila won gold medals in two Olympic Marathons, running bare-foot!
