DID VSO CHANGE YOUR LIFE?

- Charity searches for returned volunteers -

A nationwide search for VSO volunteers was launched today. VSO, the international development charity which works through volunteers, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2008 and is hoping to get hold of as many of its returned volunteers as possible so they can join in the celebrations.

Head of Communications and Public Engagement Amy Stillman said: “There are nearly 33,000 returned volunteers out there, and we are currently in touch with only about half of them. We know that VSO is a life-changing experience, and we’d like to hear from volunteers about what they did and what they’re doing now.

“We are having a number of events to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2007, and we’d like to extend an invitation to as many volunteers as we can.”

If you are a returned volunteer, or know anyone who is, email with current contact details fiftieth@vso.org.uk or call 020 8780 7500. To find out more about VSO today visit www.vso.org.uk/50th
