About our group

We are a small group of primarily ex volunteers who meet in Committee four times a year to plan a variety of events that include fund raising activities such as Barn Dances, Quiz evenings, partaking in an annual sponsored walk organised by the East Suffolk Rotarians and an annual day collection in a local store.

We give talks on VSO when requested, assist HQ in running Information Evenings, communicate with prospective volunteers and sponsor locally selected volunteers. We also try to communicate with volunteers that are serving overseas and come from Suffolk. Through our various events we seek publicity in the local press and hope to make people more aware of the work of VSO.
