Diaspora volunteering > criterion

The VSO establishes partnerships with DOs that:

• Have a volunteering focus
• Have clear aims/objectives that focus on addressing disadvantage, and that have clear links with VSO’s 6 goals, values and purpose
• Are owned and driven by UK Diaspora Volunteering organisations but are clearly based on needs overseas and developed in partnership with partners and stakeholders overseas
• Operate in countries where VSO has Programme Offices (in countries where VSO has no Programme Office we are open to sharing resources and information at their cost, e.g. attending VSO courses)
• Are organisations or groups of people that are linked and able to represent a Diaspora (not individuals)
